Sesser is located just across the Rend Lake Bridge from Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park, a 3,300-acre expanse of park and woodlands overlooking the eastern shore of Rend Lake that is a popular retreat for fishing, boating, hiking, biking, camping, horseback riding, and more. The park is home to Rend Lake Resort, a first-class luxury resort featuring an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, spa, restaurant, and lounge.
